One Night in Paris

We decided to make a trip to London and Paris to celebrate our birthdays. We found an amazing flight deal through Norwegian Air so we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. London and Paris are both amazing and beautiful cities. Here’s a breakdown of our Parisian journey.

We took the Eurostar rail from London to Paris arriving in mere hours. We purchased the premier tickets which provided us access to single row seating, a meal and a glass of wine. We had a regular priced ticket on the way back to London. With that experience in mind, the upgraded ticket was completely worth it.

We were only in Paris for one night so we tried to make the most of our visit. Here are the highlights. First up was the Arc de Triomphe. The Arc was absolutely stunning and the way traffic circled around it was quite interesting.

Next, we explored the famous Champs Elysees before checking into our hotel, Hotel La Comtess. We picked this hotel purely because of its view of the Eiffel Tower. We wanted to make the most of our one night visit.

We headed back out for some additional exploring and dinner at Le Petit Cler.

The next morning we headed to the famed Norte Dame Cathedral. We were lucky to get there just before sunrise and well before the crowds started to gather.

No Paris itinerary would be complete without a stop at the Musee du Louvre so of course that was our next stop.

We had lunch at the Eiffel Tower. While this is a super touristy thing to do, we thought it was a great way to see the city. Plus, it started snowing so we were really glad to be inside.

It stopped snowing so we made our way around the city taking in as many sites as we could before our train that evening. Some our our favorites include Basilica du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre, Pont Alexander III, and Pont Saint Micheal. We had a blast wandering the streets of Paris. And, we completely enjoyed the amazing French cuisine.

We made a quick stop at O Chateau for some wine and cheese before grabbing dinner at Frenchie. After a pretty full day of exploring, we headed to the train station for our next adventure in London.

Bottom Line:

Paris is an amazing city with some of the most iconic art, food, culture and fashion.
